WEEK 2 – PLAYOFFS
HAWKS 4 HABS 4
4-1 Habs entering the final stanza! The Hawks roar back for the tie! Billy Hagen scores twice for his Hawks. Singles for Todd Schurman and sub John Higgins. Mike Ala scores 34 ticks into the game for the Habs. Jeff Tracy, Robbie Porter and Don Courtley also score for the French guys. Habs defenseman Howard Smith puts a head lock(Holding) on power forward Kenny Perko of the Hawks(Roughing) and both enter the box in tandem.
FLYERS 5 BRUINS 2
Mr. Robert Stempain finds the back of the net four times for the victorious Flyers! Frank Pedwaydon with a single. Peter Ludwig and Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins score for the Bruins.
WINGS 3 SHARKS 1
Wings sub Matt Linnell with their first and final goals. Defenseman Kevin Maguire with the game winner! Goaler “Sugar” John Marchin shined in nets! Bruce Gooel with the lone Shark goal.
SHARKS 7 BRUINS 2
The Sharks have Bruins for dinner this game! Bruce Gooel gets the party started 28 ticks in the game for the Sharks. Deuces wild for Steve Dietrich and Ben Haynes. Dave Debrincat and Sammy Bonanno also score. Mark Smyth and sub Cheesewright with the Bruins markers as they drop a deuce today. The “Little Ball of Hate” John Perini and Bruins Captain Steve Lemieux take turns chopping each other and both hit the box.
HAWKS 4 FLYERS 0
This game was closer than the score indicates, with the first place Hawks scoring two late empty net goals. Hawks – Billy Hagen, Kenny Perko, Todd Hachigian and sub John Higgins. Goalie Mike Haines with the well earned whitewash! No Flyers highlights.
HABS 2 WINGS 2
Scoreless entering the final period, as the game ends the way it started – in a tie! Bobby Watson and sub Mat Linnell tally for the Wings. Buddies – “Gentleman” Don Courtley and Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins with the Habs markers. Both puck stoppers – John Marchin of the Wings and Bobby Rutkoske of the Habs were stellar in nets! Don Courtley(Interference) and Dougie Roehl(Elbowing) both enter the box at the same time.
