WEEK TWO – PLAYOFFS

SHARKS  2    WINGS   1

Superman and Da Sharks play a stifling defensive game to eke out the W!  Steve Dietrich and Big Ben Haynes do the honors for the Fish.  Wings freshman Captain Brian Belloli goes five hole.

FLYERS   3     BRUINS   3

Da Bruins play a strong game, flashing the acrobatic efforts of goalie Brian Miller!  Steve Lemieux and the Jimmy’s – Powell and Klimkowski score for the Bruins.  Robert Stempian and fore checking forwards Pete Ludwig and John Dooley do the honors for the Flyers.

HABS   4    HAWKS   2

The Frenchman raise their game against the Hawks with a splendid team effort!  Goalie “Sugar” John Marchin was outstanding between the pipes!  Al Pyc, Mike Harke, Robbie Porter and Timmy “Dutch” Schultz score for the Habs.  Mark Smyth and the ageless Keith Foucher with the Hawks markers.  Habs Captain Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.

BRUINS   4    SHARKS   1

The Bruins play another great game and have a nice Shark dinner!  Joe Plati, Steve Lemieux, Jimmy Klimkowski and Rick “Cheap Trick” Neilson light the lamp for the Bruins.  Another strong game for goalie Brian Miller!  Sub Paul Vioalssi with the lone Shark goal.

FLYERS   4     HAWKS   4

The Flyers open a 4-1 first period lead, only to see the Hawks soar back for the tie!  Scoring the Hawks final two goals on the same shift – Pat “Crazy Legs” Berry was everywhere!  Billy Hagen and still not looking right in any other jersey than a Sharks jersey – Bruce “The Enabler” Gooel with singles.  Robert Stempian(2), Ronnie Meltsner and Adam Godard tally for the first place Flyers, who are still undefeated in the playoffs.  The Flyers were hampered by the loss of Captain Ryan O’Rouke, who incurred his third penalty of the game with eight minutes remaining in the game, including an unsportsmanlike minor penalty.

HABS   7    WINGS   2

The Habs sweep on the day behind the two goal efforts of Robbie Porter, Chuck Mouraine and sub and long time Canadian Mike Ala. James Chapie with a single.  Goalie John Marchin with a ten save game.  Jimmy George and Dave Debrincat tally for the Wings, who drop a deuce today.  This was a penalty free game.
