WINGS   5   FLYERS   2

Wings jump out to a five zip first period lead and cruise for the W!  James George with a two goal game.  Singles for Brian Belloli, Gary Enmark and sub Lawson.  Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel and Keith Foucher tally for the Flyers in this penalty free game.

HABS   3    HAWKS   3

“Gentleman” Don Courtley with a short handed final period tying goal for the Frenchmen!  Kenny Wilkins and scoring machine Howard Smith also with Habs markers.  Mark Smyth(2) and Scott Shurin do the honors for the Hawks.

BRUINS   3   SHARKS   1

Al Pyc and Adam Godard score in an early five minute first period span, to lead the Bruins to the W.  Bob “Bugsy” Watson with a final period insurance goal.  Goal-keep Brian Miller was outstanding in nets!  Slick center Gary Szylanski with the lone Shark goal.

HAWKS   6    SHARKS   3

Deuces wild for Mark Smyth, Scott Shurin and sub “Magnum” Higgins.  David Walters(2) and sub Steve “Mario” Lemieux score for the Sharks who are now winless in their past three doubleheaders.  No trips to the sin bin for either team.

BRUINS   5   FLYERS   2

The top spot Bruins win their fifth consecutive game, as the Flyers drop a deuce today.  Al Pyc finds the back of the net twice for the Bruins.  Singles for Rick Batchelder(Also 3 Helpers), Adam Godard and Mike Harke.  Once again – goaltender Brian Miller stood tall in the nets.  Al Sparks with both Flyers goals in another penalty free game.

HABS   2    WINGS   2

Another tie game for the cellar dweller Frenchmen today, as they are now winless in their past four doubleheaders.  Jimmy “Boog” Powell and Mike Ala score for the Habs.  As in game one for the Wings – James George and sub Lawson dent the twine.  Both goalies – Bobby Rutkoske and Sir Kevin Beebe with excellent games in nets.  John “Hal” McRae of the Wings and maybe showing some lack of success season frustration – Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins both receive roughing minor penalties.
