“Gentleman” Don Courtley scores his first of two goals just 17 ticks into the game – only to see James George score his first of two goals 16 seconds later! Defense – what defense in this game! Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins also with the deuce for the Habs. Mike Ala with a French single. The Hawks receive singles from Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel, Jim Chapie and Rockford call up Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi. After a lengthy Michigan Sting absence, it appears the Habs rambunctious Pete Gibb is rounding into form, as he picks up two more penalties in this game, following his roughing minor in game one.

The Bruins do all their scoring in the final period, as they sweep for the day! Providence call up “Hans” Brinker pays big dividends as he record the trick and four goals on the night! John McRae with the deuce. Bobby Rutkoske stood tall in the nets for the Bruins. The Steve’s – Orr and Lemieux tally for the Sharks, as they drop a double dip today.
