WINGS   4    HAWKS   4

Up and down hockey at it’s best!  Gary Enmark scores his third goal of the game late in the final period for the Wings tie.  That was Enmark’s first hat trick since playing outdoors as a kid, wearing his white puckmaster helmet.  Mike Ala also with a Wings goal.  Jimmy George with a two goal game for the Hawks.  Singles for Dave “Buckeye” Wahl and Jim Chapie.  Wahl and Randy Debuel mix it up and both hit the box with roughing minors.

LEAFS   4   STARS   2

It had to happen some time!  The Leafs win their first game of the season!  Shame on Howard Smith’s Stars, who looked very lethargic in this game!  Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel, wearing his generic jersey with no number, with a two goal game.  Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich and Jack Jenereaux with singles.  Goaler Brian Miller with an outstanding game between the pipes.  Subs Paulie Polizzi and “Magnum” Higgins with the Stars markers.

HAWKS   6   HABS   3

The very offensive talented Hawks run roughshod over the Habs. Jimmy “Boog” Powell with the deuce, his first goal was at the 38 second mark of the first period.  Singles for Steve Orr, Keith Lutz, Jim Chapie and sub “Hans” Brinker.  French – Jeff “Dick” Tracy, “Gentleman” Don Courtley and Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence.

BRUINS   4    LEAFS   2

The Bruins sweep for the day and the Leafs descend back into their losing malaise.  Sub Dougie Roehl with a two goal game for the Bruins.  Joe Plati and Providence call up Al Pyc with singles.  Goaler Mike Mostyn with an efficient workmanlike effort in nets.  Al Platt and Keith Foucher(Top Shelf) tally for the Leafs.

WINGS   5    STARS   3

The Wings send the Stars to a double dip loss.  The top spot Wings have not lost in nine straight games!  Speedy forward Mike Ala with a two goal game, his second goal of the short handed variety.  Singles for Gerry Krause, Mary Sell and Chuck Mouraine.  Mark Smyth, and subs “Magnum” Higgins and Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi score for the feisty Stars, who took four trips to the sin bin in this game.
