SHARKS   2    WINGS   1

Sharks forward Keith Foucher goes top shelf with just under a minute left in the game to hand the Wings a crushing defeat!  Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich with the Sharks shorthanded initial goal.  Brian Miller stood tall in nets for the Fish!  Mike Lawson with an unassisted marker for the Wings.

HABS   5     FLYERS   2

1-1 entering the final stanza, then the Habs rattle off four goals for the convincing W!  Mike Ala with the tour du chapeau!  John Dooley and MLB Hall of Fame pitcher Bert Blyleven look alike(See Picture Below) Barry Piornack with singles.  Right from the deer blind – Don Courtley with three assists.  Robert Stempian and sub Matt Lawson tally for the Flyers in this penalty free game.

BRUINS   4     HAWKS   1

A must win for the Bruins, as shades of captains Mark Messier and Stevie Yzerman appear in this big game – Bruins captain Mr. Steve Mario Lemieux with a four goal game!  Line-mate Chuck Mouraine with three helpers.  Hawks sub Mike Garlick with a nifty tip for their lone goal.  Hats off to Hawks captain Mark Smyth who played goalie today and was simply outstanding, as the game could have been in double digits if not for his herculean efforts in nets!  As noted above, the Bruins dominate in the statistical area of this season!  Bruins forward Curt Lesnau receives the Dunce Award, as he forgets his sticks today!

WINGS   3    HAWKS   1

This was the deciding win for the Wings, as they snap the 1-1 tie with two goals in a two minute span late in the final period!  Left defenseman Bruce Buntin with the game winning goal!  Doug “Jeff” Beck and Bruce Gooel also tally for the Wings.  Goaler Dave Gaskey with a relatively light workload, as once again sub Mike Garlick with lone Hawks goal.  It always is a special time when its Hawks defenseman Gerry Krause turn for the cooler.  At times their needs to be an audit on the quantity and quality of beverages!  On the beer menu tonight – Blatz and Black Label!  What no Goebel?

BRUINS   1    HABS   1

Obviously this was a high impact game for the Bruins.  Habs power forward “Gentleman” Don Courtley bangs in a great cross crease pass from Mike Ala for the late game tying goal!  These defenseman heavy French guys are playing really good hockey right now!  Look out for them in the second half season!  Goaler Rick “Ticker” Chauvin made like Carey Price this game and continually stoned the Bruins!  Bruins sub Jimmy “Boog” Powell bangs in their only goal in this penalty free game.

FLYERS   2    SHARKS   1

Robert Stempain with the game winning Flyers goal.  A broth of a lad – Ryan Patrick O’Rourke with the Flyers first marker.  Goalie Bobby Rutkoske with an excellent game between the pipes.  Jack Priauix with the lone Shark goal in another penalty free game.
