Scoreless entering the final stanza, then the Hawks pop in two goals for the W! Detroit native Bobby Rutkoske with the well earned whitewash! Billy Hagen and sub Jeff Funk tally for the Hawks. Winger Jeff Morton assisted on both goals and hit the box with a chopping penalty to boot.

Lee ties the game up with his second goal of the game, with the goalie pulled, with 23 ticks left on the arena clock! Slippery Todd Schurman with the first Sharks goal. Kenny Wilkins, Jim Chapie and Robbie Porter with the Habs goals in this penalty free game.
FLYERS 3 HABS 2
Kevin Maguire, sub John Siterlet and recording his own version of the Gordie Howe hat trick, with a goal and body checking and slashing penalties – Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi score for the victorious Flyers. Jim Chapie scores twice in the final period for the Habs, who are still winless in this young season. The Habs were minus top center Sammy Bonanno today, who took a maintenance day off.
HAWKS 1 BRUINS 1
The goalie who blinked first was going to lose! Didn’t happen – as Bobby Rutkoske of the Hawks and Mike Schlimgen of the Bruins put on a highlight reel goaltending show! Doing his best Cam Neely impersonation – winger Ronnie Meltsner with the top spot Bruins goal. Jeff Morton scores for the Hawks shortly after the final period opening puck drop. Both teams are still undefeated this season!
WINGS 4 SHARKS 3
The Wings rally back from a 3-2 deficit as the Wings “Black” Jack Priauix snaps the 3-3 tie with just under a minute left in the contest! Al Pyc, sub Bill Murdock and Jimmy Buffett lookalike(See Picture Below) sub John Zuccarini also score for the Wings. As in game one – General Robert E. Lee scores twice and Todd Schurman once for the Sharks, who remain winless in the season. This was a penalty free game.
