It was a close 2-0 game after the initial period – then the flood gates opened! All over the ice – Steve Orr with the trick! Always a dangerous weapon from the point – Kevin Maguire with the deuce. Singles for Mike Fox, Ryan O’Rouke(No – Taylor was not in attendance) and sub Rob “Roller Blade” Hergott. Along with his shutout, goalie Mike Haines picks up an assist! Subs Ken Debus of the Flyers and Bob Watson of the Bruins hit the box in tandem with roughing minor penalties.
HABS 5 WINGS 2
It’s hat trick or nothing for this guy! Sammy “The Bull” Bonanno with another trick for the Frenchmen! Mike Ala and sub Matt Lawson also with goals. Defenseman Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins with a huge four assist game! Goalie Dave Gaskey with a relatively light workload and records an assist! Paul “Jay” Giles and Doug “Jeff” Beck both strum in goals for the Wings. This was a penalty free game.
BRUINS 5 WINGS 3
Steve “Mario” Lemieux scores the Bruins first three goals for the trick! Joe Plati and sub Chuck Bowers with singles. Returning from parts unknown – sub Bob “Bugsy” Watson with four helpers. Subbing for the suspended Brian Belloli for his transgressions of last week – Mike Lawson with a two goal game for the Wings. Brian was not happy with, in his eyes the undeserved one week suspension. He wanted to go through the appeal process. Whoops – no appeal process in the Sting bylaws! Mark Smyth with the Wings first goal. It was a tough night for the Wings who drop both games tonight and then sub Mike Lawson absconds with Paul Giles stick postgame. Both players met up in the parking lot and exchanged sticks.
HABS 4 SHARKS 1
The Habs open up a little first place breathing room with today’s sweep, with one week left in the first half season. Mike Ala scores the French guys first and last goals. Sam Bonanno and sub Matt Lawson with the middle markers. Puck stopper Dave Gaskey with a very solid game between the pipes. Sub Mike Garlick with the lone Shark goal.

Subbing for the other suspended recipient – Pat “Crazy Legs” Berry – Rob Hergott with the trick for the Flyers, as they sweep on the day! Chunky candy bar actor Arnold Stang lookalike(See Picture Below) Mike Fox with the Flyers game winning goal. Billy Hagen, Robert Stempian and Rick Batchelder tally for the Hawks in this penalty free game.
