ATTENDED THE ABOVE CONCERT LAST WEEK.

BELOW IS A GREAT QUOTE FROM ICONIC GUITARIST JOE WALSH.

WHO STOLE THE SHOW BY THE WAY!

“I WAS HAPPIER IN THE 70’s WHEN I WAS 20, THAN I AM IN THE

20’s WHEN IM 70!

BUT THIS QUOTE MADE ME THINK.

HOW SPECIAL IS IT, THAT SOME OF US IN OUR 70’s, ARE STILL LACING UP THE SKATES!

ALBEIT – WE ARE NOT AS GOOD AS WE USED TO BE – BUT WE ARE STILL PLAYING THE GAME WE LOVE!

SHARKS    3     BRUINS   0

Goalie Brian Miller blanks the Bruins!  The Sharks top line of Central Michigan football defensive coordinator lookalike Robb Akey(See Picture Below) – Rob Lee(2 & 1), Bruce Gooel(1 & 2) and Al Sparks(3 Assists) factor in on all of the teams scoring with nine total points!  Bruins sub “Hans” Neilson picks up a solo roughing minor penalty.

FLYERS   3     WINGS   3

The Flyers score twice in the games first four minutes only to see the Wings climb out to a 3-2 lead!  With the goalie pulled, Flyers charismatic leader Ryan O’Rourke buries the game tying goal with 31 ticks left on the arena clock!  Chuck Mouraine and Steve Orr with the Flyers early markers.  Line-mates Jimmy George(2) and Brian Belloli score for the Wings.  Ryan O’Rourke and Wings sub Bill “Rupert” Murdock take turns cross checking each other and hit the box in tandem.

HABS    2     HAWKS   2

Moncton call up Paul Vioalssi ties the game up 2-2 with the goalie pulled for the Habs!  Mike Ala with the first French goal.  Billy Hagen and sub Chuck Bowers tally for the Hawks.  Both sub goalies – Randy Heid of the Hawks and Billy Papciak of the Habs were outstanding in nets!

BRUINS   3    FLYERS   1

Bruins take a 3-0 first period lead and secure the W behind the stalwart puck stopping efforts of goalie Mike Schilmgen!  Bo Altherr, Eddie Higgins and sub “Hans” Neilson score for the Bruins.  Chuck Mouraine with the Flyers goal.

HABS   3     WINGS   3

Wings go up 2-0, only to see the Habs tie it up 2-2 at the end of one!  Mike Ala scores a short-side goal to put the Habs up 3-2.  Then with 2.5 seconds left in the game – Wings forward Doug “Jeff” Beck, neatly tucks the puck into the corner of the Habs net for a rousing 3-3 tie!  Once again, Jimmy George goes twine twice for the Wings. Gotta give these gutsy Wings a lot of credit today, as they lost winger Curt Lesnau early in game one with a lower body injury and played both games a man short!  Robbie Porter and sub Paul Vioalssi with the Habs first two goals.  The courage award of this game goes out to left winger Don Courtley of the Habs, who loses his glove early in his shift and continues to play minus a glove!

SHARKS   5     HAWKS   4

This was a weird one!  Face-off to the left of the Sharks goalie.  Hawks player Al Phipps is right next to the Sharks goalie and the puck was stilled dropped and play continued, only to see Shark Steve Dietrich score his second goal of the game and the eventual game winning goal!  Didn’t really factor into the game ending, since the Sharks scored, but pretty bizarre the puck was dropped.  Postgame – Al Phipps said he couldn’t believe the refs couldn’t see HIM!  Ben Haynes(Also 3 Helpers) and defenseman Tommy Oswald and new Bally Sports interview celebrity Dave DeBrincat with the Sharks other goals.  Todd Schurman with the hat trick assist.  Actor Robert Downey Jr. lookalike(See Picture Below) Billy Hagen and Robert Stempian both score twice for the Hawks.

Who is the first Detroit Red Wing to score on a penalty shot in the playoffs?
