Deuces wild for centers Chuck Mouraine and Steve Orr as the Flyers pluck the Hawks.  Paulie “Knuckles” Polizzi also with a goal.  Winger Mike Fox with the hat trick assist.  Goalie Mike Haines was stellar in nets.  Hawks sub Paul “Brett Micheals” Violassi with their lone goal.  Rick Batchelder of the Hawks picks up a solo roughing minor infraction.    

BRUINS    3     WINGS    2

A well played game, as the Bruins hand the Wings another one goal loss.  Steve Lemieux, Ronnie Meltsner and Mike Harke do the honors for the Bruins.  Brian Belloli and sub Matt Lawson tally for the Wings in this penalty free game.  Bruins sub “Ticker” and Superman with strong games between the pipes.

Bespectacled goalie Dave Gaskey turns in his league leading fourth shutout, as the Habs harpoon the Sharks.  Proudly wearing the number nine sweater of legend “Rocket” Richard of the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge – Sammy “The Bull” Bonanno records his second tour du chapeau naturel of the season!  Mike Ala and Robbie Porter with singles.  No red flags on the beach this game.     

HAWKS   7    BRUINS    2

Billy Hagen scores a buck 25 into the game for his first of three goals and the Hawks roll over the Bruins.  Singles for sub “Hans” Brinker, Adam Godard and the bash brothers – Al Phipps and Kenny Perko.  Steve Lemieux and Eddie Higgins score for the Bruins.

WINGS   5    SHARKS   5

This was a wild one!  The Wings score three goals in a four minute first period span and then the league’s leading scorer Jimmy George completes his hat trick with the goalie pulled for the tie!  Mark Smyth and Brian Belloli also score for the Wings.  Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich goes twine twice for the Fish.  Singles for Al Sparks, Todd Schurman and making like his son Alex – Dave DeBrincat.  Wings sub Perye incurs a solo roughing minor penalty.  The Wings were minus a combined 145 years of maturity today, as both Kenny Schaeffler and Curt Lesnau on are the DL with lower body injuries.        

HABS   2    FLYERS   1

A goalie delight this game, as winning goalie Dave Gaskey and sterling Sting rookie Mike Haines put on a show for the empty arena!  Moncton call-ups Glenn Boyce and Bill “Rupert” Murdock score the first place Habs, who are now currently undefeated in their past seven games!  The speedy Chuck Mouraine goes five hole for the Flyers, who split on the day.
