HAWKS 3 HABS 1
Hats off to Hawks sub goalie Mark Smyth, who was on loan again from the Wings. Once again Mark played great in nets! Jimmy George scores in the games first minute and fellow forwards Bruce Buntin and Robbie Porter also with goals. John “The Little Ball of Hate” Perini with the lone Habs marker.
SHARKS 2 BRUINS 2
Ben Haynes of the Sharks ties the game up with just four minutes remaining in the contest! Rob Lee with the Sharks initial tally. Ronnie Meltsner and Rick Batchelder with the Bruins goals. Both goalies – Rick ‘Ticker” Chauvin and Mike Schlimgen with strong games between the pipes!
WINGS 3 FLYERS 1
Steve Orr, David Herkowitz and Chuck Mouraine dent the twine for the Wings. Stevie Lambert with a seeing eye goal for the goal starved Flyers. There were rumblings in the Flyers room that they couldn’t even score on 8 mile! Maybe they would have better luck on 6 mile! Cheaper!
WINGS 6 HABS 2
The top spot Wings are now a fine oiled machine, as they are now undefeated in their past nine contest’s! Captain Paul Giles with a two goal game. Singles for Steve Orr, Ken Debus, Al Sparks and Chuck Mouraine. Robert Stempian with both French goals.
FLYERS 5 BRUINS 3
The Flyers finally put the puck into the net behind the two goal backhand effort of “Flying” Sammy “Bananas” Bonanno! Steve Lemieux, Al Pyc and on a cross grain top shelf absolute blast from the right point – Kevin Maguire with singles. Bruins – Bobby Watson, Rob Halbhuber and continuing his goal scoring parade from this past weekend in the Port Huron tournament – Ronnie Meltsner. A special shoutout to Bruins goaler “Ticker”, who stoned Flyers center Steve Lemieux on a four consecutive rebound flurry!
SHARKS 7 HAWKS 2
Shades of Gettysburg – General Robert E. Lee leads his troops with the trick! Steve “Barney Miller” Dietrich with the deuce. Singles for Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins(Also 3 Helpers) and Mary Sell. Jeff “Dick” Tracy and Kenny Perko with the Hawks markers in this penalty free game.
