WINGS   5     BRUINS   1

Forward, defense, goalie, it really doesn’t matter for this all-purpose hockey player named Mark Smyth, who shines in nets this game for the Wings!  The guy is simply amazing!  Having a breakout season – Mike Lawson scores twice for the Wings.  Singles for Brian Belloli, John Dooley and Paul Giles.  Bruins Captain Steve Lemieux with their lone goal.

FLYERS   3    HAWKS   3

A well played very even game as the score indicates.  Chuck Bowers scores twice for the Flyers.  Jimmy George with their final goal.  Pat “Crazy Legs” Berry goes twine twice for the Hawks.  Sting rookie Dan Bouzide with their initial marker.  This was a penalty free game.

HABS   4   SHARKS   0

Sub goalie Billy Papciak who subbed last week for the Bruins and had a shutout in game two, follows it up this week subbing for the Habs with a shutout in game one!  Pictured below is the incentive Papciak showed his new teammates pregame, if they happen to sweep today!  John Perini, Mike Harke, Bob Watson and sub Scott Leslie score for the Frenchmen.  No red flags on the beach today.  Another penalty free game.

HABS   5    FLYERS   1

A very haunting story, as sub goalie Billy Papciak shuts out the Flyers last week subbing for the Bruins and just about replicates that feat this game and records an assist to boot!  Enjoy the vodka libations boys!   Flyers Captain Ryan O’Rouke says he’s really tired of seeing this guy!  The swift Mike Ala with the deuce for the Habs.  Singles for Mike Harke, Adam Godard and Bobby Watson as they sweep on the day.  The red hot Chuck Bowers with the lone Flyers goal.  Things are getting interesting for the top spot in the standings as the Flyers are now winless in their past four games!  Seemingly with an insurmountable first place lead just a short few weeks ago – the Flyers now hold a slim one point lead over the Hawks with six games remaining in the first half season.

SHARKS   3    WINGS   0

Both teams split on the day as puck stopper Brian Miller drops a zero on the Wings.  A scoreless contest entering the final stanza – Eddie “The Eagle” Higgins scores twice for the victorious Sharks.  Mike Krueger with their middle marker.  No Wings highlights.

HAWKS  4    BRUINS   1

Billy Hagen lookalike(See Picture Below) New York Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe, who also homered in the World Series tonight, with a two goal game leads his Hawks to the W!  As in game one – Pat Berry and Dan Bouzide also score.  Goalie Al Clark with a very light workload agasint the offensively challenged Bruins, who have only scored 25 goals this season in 16 games.  Well under two goals a game average.  Ouch!  Dougie Roehl with the lone Bruins marker.
