 BRUINS    4    HABS   3

A game with major first place ramifications and it did not disappoint the Halloween costumed crowd!  3-3 entering the final stanza, as the Bruins open up a 2-0 lead in the games first two minutes!  Only to see the Habs Kenny “Prime Time” Wilkins score on consecutive shifts to tie it up 2-2.  Then with just under three minutes left in the game, Bruins blinged up winger Mike Harke scores his second goal of the game for the game winner!  Eddie Higgins and Dougie Roehl also score for the Bruins.  Sammy Bonanno with the Habs final goal.  “Not Too Gentlemanly” Don Courtley and the Bruins Doug Wargo both receive roughing minor penalties and hit the box in tandem.

SHARKS    7     FLYERS   3

The Sharks go on a feeding frenzy and dominate the Flyers!  Not since his Fraser HockeyLand days, when the complex just had the “A” and “B” rink, playing for the Amvets team – Sharks forward Jimmy Klimsowski with a two goal game!  Singles for Bruce Gooel, Al Sparks, Ben Haynes, Todd Schurman and sub Jeff Funk.   Fellow sub Mike Garlick had three helpers.  The Flyers receive goals from Ryan O’Rourke, Chuck Moraine and Paulie Polizzi(PP).

WINGS   2     HAWKS   2

A well played game as both goalies – Bobby Rutkoske of the Hawks and sub goalie Billy Papciak of the Wings shine in nets!  Robert Stempian and for the second game in a row, Al Phipps score for the Hawks.  Ever the organizer – Wings Captain Paul Giles passes out name tags pregame locker room as the Wings sport five subs today!  Subs Bill “Rupert” Murdock and Perye with the Wings markers in this penalty free game.

BRUINS    3     SHARKS   2

Before the hibernation season commences, these hungry Bruins have made a steady climb in the standings and only trail the wire to wire Habs by a single point!  Captain Steve Lemieux snaps the 2-2 tie with a top shelf game winning goal!  As in game one – Eddie Higgins and Dougie Roehl with singles.  Goaler Mike Schlimgen stood on his head this game!  Bruce Gooel and Ben Haynes tally for the Fish in this penalty free game.

HABS   1     HAWKS   1

A rare 1-1 game as goalies – Dave Gaskey of the Habs and Bobby Rutkoske of the Hawks put on a goaltending clinic!  Habs sub Rob Hergott ties the game up with just over a minute left in the contest!  Power forward Kenny Perko bangs in the Hawks goal.

WINGS   3     FLYERS   0

Wings sub goalie Billy Papciak with the well deserved shutout as he blanks the Flyers as they lose their third consecutive game.  “Black” Jack Priauix, Mark Smyth and sub John Higgins tally for the Wings.  On a scary Halloween night with six minutes left in the game, things took a very nasty and macabre turn.  Pat “Crazy Legs” Berry of the Flyers dishes out a flagrant elbow to the Wings Brian Belloli and then all hell broke loose!  With gloves strewn on the ice, both players get into an actual fight and end up grappling on the ice!  Belloli receives a minor roughing penalty and two ten minute roughing penalties.  Both players are ejected from the game(See Picture Below).

Who are the two NHL head coaches tied for the NHL record of coaching 8 teams?
