HABS   2    HAWKS   1

The battle for first place!  After today’s games, both teams are now tied for the top spot in the standings!  All the scoring was done in the initial stanza, as both goalies Sir Kevin Beebe of the victorious Habs and Bobby Rutkoske were outstanding between the pipes!  Jeff Ivory and John Perini score for the Frenchmen.  Cam Lawrence assisted on both goals.  Mike Ala with a last minute first period marker for the Hawks.  No penalties were called in this fast up and down game!

BRUINS   2    SHARKS   2

James George scores with the goalie pulled, to secure the tie for the Bruins.  Chuck Mouraine with the Bruins first goal.  Big Ben Haynes and Marty Sell tally for the Fish.  Both puck stoppers – the Mikes – Allemon and Mostyn were sharp in this penalty free game.

FLYERS   4    WINGS   1

The Flyers score three final period goals to seal the deal.  Brian Belloli, Bruce Gooel, Robert E. Lee and Jimmy “Boog” Powell with the Flyers markers.  Sub goaler Rick “Ticker” Chauvin with a strong game in nets.  Billy Hagen was the only Wing to solve ‘Ticker”.  Once again – this was a penalty free game!

HAWKS   4     SHARKS   1

The Hawks get back on the winning track as they defeat the very undisciplined Sharks.  Mike Ala with the deuce.  Singles for Steve Orr and Jim “Jacques” Lemire.  Goaler Bobby Rutkoske with a very light workload.  Al “Mike” Phipps with the shorthanded lone Shark goal.  The Sharks rack up six penalties in the game, as tough guy Chris Zanke incurs two separate solo roughing minor penalties along with a holding penalty and a head start to the locker room cooler.  Check his meds?  Barry Piornack with an unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty.

FLYERS   7    BRUINS   3

The Flyers sweep for the day behind the two goal game of Robert E. Lee.  Singles for Jimmy Powell, Bruce “Cooler Man” Gooel, Bobby Watson, John Zuccarini and Dr. Keri Topouzian.  Brian Belloli with the hat trick assist game.  Bruins – Mike Harke(2) and Rob “The Rifleman” Duncan.

HABS   5   WINGS   4

The Habs continue their push for first place as they are now undefeated in their past seven contests.  The line of Jeff “Dick” Tracy(3 & 2), Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence(2 & 1) and John Perini(2 Helpers) wreck havoc on the Wings, as they factor in all of it’s teams scoring and total ten points in the game!  The Wings dip deep into their minor league system and find this player called Kevin Mahon, who promptly paid dividends with a two goal game.  Singles for Billy Hagen and Peter Gibb.
