Jeff “Dick” Tracy tommy guns in the late game winning goal for the Bruins.  Cam “Steamboat” Lawrence with a first period marker.  Brian Belloli with the lone Flyers goal.  Both puck stoppers – winning goalie Bobby Rutkoske and Mike Schlimgen with outstanding games in nets.

1-1 entering the final stanza.  Then John “Hal” McRae and Bob “Bugsy” Watson score just over a minute apart early in the final period, to send the Wings to the W.  Jimmy “Boog” Powell with the Wings initial and game winning goal.  Third round steal – Steve Orr with the tour du chapeau for the Frenchmen!

HAWKS   3     SHARKS   2

Another 1-1 game entering the final period.  Then Hawks sub Gary Szalawski scores his game winning second goal of the game 20 seconds into the final period!  Jack Jenereaux with the Hawks initial marker.  Pat Collins and Joe Plati(Is He still Playing?) score for the Fish.  Both goalers – winning goalie “Sugar” John Marchin and Brian Miller were excellent between the pipes.

WINGS    3    BRUINS    1

The Wings sweep for the day behind the stellar net-minding of Mike Mostyn.  As in game one – Jimmy “Boog” Powell and John McRae score for the Wings.  Al Pyc also with a Wings marker.  Playmaker Parker “You Can Call Me” Johnson with three helpers.  Mike “Cherry” Charison was the only Bruin to solve Mostyn in this penalty free game.
