RUMOR HAS IT – IS THAT PAIGE WILL MAKE A GUEST
APPEARANCE AT THE STING GOLF OUTING FRIDAY!!
BRING YOUR GAME BOYS!
BRUINS 5 HAWKS 3
2-0 Hawks after period one. The Bruins score their three goals in just under a three minute final period span and clip the Hawks. Mike Harke with the deuce. Singles for Pete Ludwig, Ronnie Meltsner and Joe Plati. Hawks – Billy Hagen, Adam Godard and Robert Stempian. This was a penalty free game.
HABS 2 FLYERS 2
Mike Fox and Ryan O’Rourke tally for the Flyers. Now here’s a nice comeback story. A few years back I’m at my high school reunion, I run into a buddy I grew up playing hockey with on the east side of Detroit at Heilman’s Field(See Picture Below – Yes – it was outdoors and we had to shovel the ice!) After being out of hockey for 20 years, I convince him to sub on Tuesday’s. Sub Jimmy Klimkowski with both Habs goals! Both goalies – Mike Haines of the Flyers and Dave Gaskey of the Habs with outstanding games!
SHARKS 5 WINGS 2
Da Sharks play an overall strong game to defeat the Wings. Subbing for Rob Lee, who allegedly is still celebrating his Sam Cupp Championship victory of two weeks ago – Paul Violassi, who was everywhere on the ice – with a two goal game! Todd Schurman, Ben Haynes and Bruce Gooel also with goals. Brian Belloli and Doug Beck score for the Wings.
HAWKS 4 WINGS 3
2-2 late in the game – then Hawks goalie Bobby Rutkoske sticks out his left pad out of nowhere and simply stones the Wings forward to preserve the tie, as left defenseman Bruce Buntin scores shortly after for the Hawks. Billy Hagen, Robert Stempian and with the eventual game winning goal into an empty net – Jeff Morton round out the Hawks scoring. Doug Beck, Al Pyc and with the goalie pulled – Jimmy George tally for the Wings, who drop a deuce today. No trips to the sin bin for either team.
HABS 2 BRUINS 1
A well played game, as winning goalie Dave Gaskey and Mike Schlimgen of the Bruins put on a show for the one person in attendance – Keith Lutz’s Mom. Don Courtley and Sammy Bonanno score for the Frenchmen. Dougie Roehl with the Bruins lone goal. Roehl and Habs sub Jim Klimkowski collide on the ice together, as they both end up on the ice laughing.
SHARKS 4 FLYERS 0
Goalie Brian Miller and this formidable Sharks team sweep on the day as they defeat the Flyers. Steve Dietrich, Ben Haynes, Bruce Gooel and sub Paul Violassi score for the Fish. No Flyers highlights.
