WINGS 2 FLYERS 1
Wow! It doesn’t get any better than this, as this game is unprecedented in Sting Championship games, in either league! 0-0 after one period! 0-0 after two periods! 0-0 after three periods. 0-0 after the five minute OT! With the large crowd on its feet – now it goes to a five man shootout! Flyers sub Brian “Bobby” Mercer(And for those of you who don’t know who Bobby Mercer is – please google – Lol) goes five hole to score the first goal of the game! The always dangerous Bruce “The Enabler” Gooel reciprocates for the Wings. Now it comes down to shooter number ten – Mike Lawson of the Wings! He buries it – as red and white confetti rains down from the rafters! MVP Wings goalie Bobby “The Bob” Rutkoske was simply unbelievable this game with several stunning gloves saves! The ice was titled the entire third period, as the Flyers were all over the Wings! Didn’t matter – “The Bob” stonewalled every single shot his way! Great game Bobby! Also – hats off to Flyers goalie Mike Haines, as he also stood on his head this game! The Flyers were minus their scoring machine Jimmy George, who ruptured his achilles tendon playing pickle ball. Get well Jimmy! A good time was had by all postgame at Joe Kools!
Wings forward Paul Giles proudly with the Sam Cupp postgame at Kools!

Alex Ovechkin is one of only four NHL players to score 30 or more goals in a season at age 39 or older.
Name me the other three.
