Kirk “Captain America” Larson!!  Playing with his brand new goalie pads – the Flyers puck stopper was sensational in this game!  Making numerous circus saves throughout the game to chagrin of the Habs.  Flyers sub left wing Paul Erikson with a very effective two goal game.  Steve Bittner on a low five hole goal and Mike Miller (Empty Netter) round out the Flyers scoring.  Nate McCoughtry and Mike Krueger score for the Frenchmen in this penalty free game.

The Wings do all their scoring in the first stanza.  Deuces wild for Rob Rowling and Mike Nalepa.  Steve “Mario” Lemieux with their final goal at the buzzer of the first period.  Sharks – deuces wild for Billy Mac Jr. and Mike Riddle and a single for “Jumping” Jim Leonardi.

The Bruins prevail despite incurring two “Too many players on the ice” penalties!  Left winger Ray Tonelli with a two goal game.  Singles for the Johns – McNeilly and Cornish.  Big Rex Baker with the short handed Bruins first marker of the game.  “Angry” Joey Ventimiglio with the hat trick assist.  Steve Wink, Kurt “The Baron” Von Mach, Robbie Olmstead and Donnie Rivera score for the Hawks.

In a quirk in the schedule – the Frenchmen defeat the Bruins for the second straight week.  Dr. Nate with the tour du chapeau.  Singles for Rob Middleton and sub Chas Kipp.  Defenseman Pierre Dugas and forward Al Pyc with three helpers apiece.  Chuck Bowers, Rex Baker and Ray Tonelli were the Bruins marksman.

Timmy “Dutch” Schultz scores 16 ticks into the game as the Hawks keep the Wings winless on the season.  Captain John “Shifty” Shelton with a two goal game.  Singles for Scott Leslie and Marty Papesh.  As in game one- Mike Nalepa with the deuce for the Wings.  Rob Rowling and Steve Lemieux also with Wings goals.

Whoa!  Playing with just nine players today – the Flyers run roughshod over the Sharks!  Once again, goaltender Kirk Larson was outstanding between the pipes as he earns the shutout!  Larson stoned the exasperated Billy Mac Jr. on two wide open breakaways!  Flyers – Brian Moore with the trick.  Steve Bittner with the deuce.  Singles for Lloyd Rogers, Danny Rea and sub Paul Erickson(Also 3 Helpers).  There were no Shark sightings in this game!
