Winger Steve Bayagich with the game winning goal and three assists to boot, as the high flying Wings defeat the Sharks. Zach Wagner with a 2 & 2 game. Singles for Rich Artymovich, Scott Chodun(PP) and sub “Hans” Neilson. Goalie Dar with a solid effort in nets. Mike Nalepa and Brian Hamlin tally for the Fish.
FLYERS 5 HABS 4
Moncton call up Marcel Dimitri scores his first goal of the game 40 ticks into the game and his second goal 40 ticks into the final period! But the Flyers prevail behind the balanced team scoring from Scott Leslie, Jamie Smith, “Angry” Joe, Scott Kostesich and sub May. Apparently feeling no pressure this season since he is not running a team – defenseman Ryan Boyette with a breakout season so far – records the hat trick assist. Billy Reiss and sub Mike Garlick with the Habs other two markers.
HAWKS 3 BRUINS 2
This game is entitled “The Battle for the Bottle!” See Picture below. Both Polish Americans goalies – winning goalie Billy Papciak and Gordy Nadolsky turn in stellar goaltending efforts! Hawks power froward Rob Rowling, nimbly skates down the wing and goes far side low for the late game winning goal, snapping the 2-2 tie! Mike Riddle and sub Tringali also with Hawks goals. Ontario native Danny Rea goes twine twice for the Bruins. This was a penalty free game.
WINGS 6 HAWKS 5
Steve Bayagich unceremoniously breaks the 5-5 tie with a minute left in the game for a Wings sweep today! Rich Artymovich with a two goal game. Singles for Zach Wagner, Jim Roble and sub “Hans” Neilson. Former Sault Ste. Marie Greyhound Terry Boyette with three helpers. Hawks sub Tringali with the trick! The Robs – Rowling and Girouix with singles.
HABS 4 BRUINS 3
A well played game as Habs sub Mike Garlick buries the game winning goal! Brian Moore(Also 3 Helpers), Paul Erikson and power play specialist Pat “The Beast” Wosek with singles. Bruins – Marty Papesh, Paul Vioalssi and with a Bruins reunion of sorts – sub John McNeilly.
FLYERS 6 SHARKS 2
The top spot Flyers are now undefeated in their past two doubleheaders as they dominate the Sharks this game! Taking time from the MLB playoffs, Phillies Kyle Schwarber lookalike(See Picture Below) Trevor Wrobel with a two goal game. Having a huge 1 & 4 game was Jamie Smith! Scott Leslie, Mike Kruger and sub May also joined the party. Goalie Brian Miller did a stalwart job in nets. Kenny Kluz and the pride of Clarkston, Michigan – Mike “Padre” Nalepa score for the Sharks.
