HAWKS   6    WINGS    5  –  OT

The Hawks prevail in overtime, in this simulated Sam Cupp Championship game!

Game tied 5-5 with one minute remaining in the overtime period.  Face-off deep in the Hawks end.  Center Zach Wagner wins the face-off cleanly to defenseman Jack Leavy, who rips the puck around the far boards in a premeditated stretch pass to a wide open Robbie Olmstead.  Olmstead carries the puck into the Wings zone and drops a pass to game MVP Zach Wagner, who goes five hole and completes his hat trick and sends the Hawks to the Championship victory!  John McNeilly with a two goal game for the Hawks.  Robbie Olmstead with their initial goal.  The Wings end a magical season on a tough ending note.  Rob Rowling with the hat trick for the Wings.  Singles for Scott Chudoun and Terry Boyette.

Following the game, rink manager Zach Wagner finds some duct tape in his office and Rob Rowling supplies a tape measure, for the postgame back parking lot celebration!

Till next time??
